Police are responding to reports of an active shooter at Topsail High School in North Carolina Friday morning, according to local media.

The call came in around 6:30 a.m. local time, ABC is reporting.

No other details are available at this time.

The high school is in the town of town of Hampstead and part of Pender County, around 177 kilometres southeast of the North Carolina’s capital, Raleigh.
